1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using Grocery Shopping List Price Optimizer ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What the app does

The app helps you build a personal catalogue of grocery items and shop prices, plan shopping lists, and compare deals across shops. It is provided free of charge, without requiring an account.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the prices, shops and items you enter, and for using the app lawfully. Any figures the app calculates (such as best deals or savings) are estimates based on the data you enter, not a guarantee of accuracy or of an actual price at any shop.

4. Your data and backups

Your catalogues and shopping lists are stored on your own device, with an optional backup to your own Google Drive if you turn that on. While the app keeps automatic local backups to help you undo mistakes, we cannot guarantee against data loss (for example from a lost, reset or damaged device), and recommend using Google Drive sync if this data matters to you.

5. Google account features

Signing in with Google to use Drive sync is optional, and covered by Google's own terms of service in addition to these terms.

6. Advertising

The app is built to show ads through Google AdMob and Google AdSense to help keep it free; ads may not be present in every build. See the Privacy Policy for how ad consent and ad data are handled.

7. Intellectual property

The app's design, code and branding belong to its developer. The catalogue, list and price data you enter remains yours.

8. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or of expected savings.

10. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app and these terms over time. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last revised; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may also discontinue the app or any of its features at our discretion.
